Phase 1: Hands-on Training

In the world of the broadcast media today, versatility is key. Television stations, radio stations and production houses are looking for employees that have a wide array of skills and can handle a variety of roles. With this in mind, the first phase of the CSB experience exposes students to every aspect of the industry in a hands-on environment. You’ll “Learn By Doing” in our state of the art radio and television studios. The coursework includes: On-Air Performance, Audio Production & Voiceovers, Video Production, Camera Operation, Control Room Operations, Copy Writing, Music Production, Sports Reporting and more.

Phase 2: Electives

After experiencing all that broadcasting has to offer in Phase 1, Phase 2 gives you the opportunity to focus in on the areas that interest you most. Get in-depth knowledge of software like Pro Tools, Adobe Audition, Avid & Final Cut Pro. Learn remote and studio cameras inside and out. Take your On-Air Performance skills to the next level.

Phase 3: Demos & Resumes

Once you feel comfortable in the area that you want to pursue professionally, it’s time to take steps towards landing that first gig. In the broadcasting industry, employers are looking for two major things: a compelling resume and a solid demo reel or aircheck. At CSB, our staff will help you cultivate both.

Phase 4: Use of Studios

Upon successful completion of the first three phases, the doors to CSB remain open to you. Whether you need to update your demo reel, practice voiceovers, or refresh your video editing skills, you’ll have access to the studios at any one of our campuses.
