Get to know the ins and outs of microphone technology, proper preamp usage, and analog to digital conversion. Whether you’re a singer, instrumentalist, or want to learn to record others to create the songs you want to hear, everything starts with one track. You will have the chance to use high end studio equipment with the guidance necessary to operate any studio.

It is important to know exactly what you are doing when creating sounds for your project. We will take the time to learn how effects like delay, reverb, compression, and many others can change how the audience perceives your track. These ideas are imperative for getting the sound in your head to the final recording.

After you get some tracks recorded and your music starts to come together you will learn the industry standards of editing to make your track clean, and ready for all audiences. It will become clear that there are many different approaches that will equip you to handle any genre.

After your song is written, tracked, and edited, now you are ready to set the levels. We will go over the fundamental ideas used by the top mixing engineers and how to apply these to your music. You will learn plenty of techniques that will cover a wide range of applications.
