CASTING FOR: “Unlucky”

A Short Film

Written and Directed by: Justin Larkey

Plot Summary: When his unlucky-in-love best friend, Oliver, hits rock bottom, effortless womanizer, Max, vows to find him the perfect match, but his well-intentioned efforts lead to unforeseen challenges.

Casting for the following roles:
Max (Lead): Male, 20s, less-than-attractive (but not outright ugly, like a 4 or a 5), effortlessly gets all the girls. Best friend of Oliver.
Oliver (Lead): Male, 20s, good-looking and well built but can’t get a date. Best friend of Max.
Sophie (Supporting): Female, 20s, cute appeal, has had poor past relationships.
Five (5) Females (Extras): 20s, sexy, all one line of dialogue.

CASTING FOR: “Way Out”

A Short Film

Written and Directed by: Sheamus Carr

Plot Summary: Depressed man in debt is given an offer to save his life at the cost of his morals.

Casting for the following roles:

AVERY GOODMAN (30ish) , a man mourning the recent death of his mother, who was battling dementia for five years. Avery was an optimistic soul, before his mother’s untimely death, and has now lost his hope and will to live. However, he finds what little reasons remain to press on, including his friendship with Butch.

BUTCH (30ish), a pessimistic man with a knack for discouraging jokes. Butch, ailed by cancer, though now in remission, is also in debt similarly to Avery. He is willing to compromise his morals for a ‘way out’ of his crippling situation. His friendship with Avery, and estranged family, is what keeps him going.

RIVERS LUMONT (40ish), a manipulative European business man, lives to puppetmaster others’ lives, because of how little control he has over his own. This is what compels him to offer individuals on their last legs a choice at salvation, at the cost of their morality.

CASTING FOR: “One day angel”

A Short Film

Plot Summary: A ghost wife must convince her husband not to kill her murderer.

Casting for the following roles:

Hope, female, 30ish, ghost, wife, headstrong, sassy.
Jack, male, 30ish, husband, cop, disheveled looking, depressed, a little unhinged.
Captive, male, 30-40, recovering alcoholic who relapsed, depressed, middle manager in a regular 9-5 job.

How to record a virtual audition.

Please record your audition in front of a plain background.  Please start with a head to toe shot and slate your name, height, location and if you are union or non-union.  Then frame yourself in a medium shot (belt buckle to top of head) and record your dialogue.  Please have someone read the other character parts slightly off camera and look directly at them and not at the lens.  Please upload to Youtube, Vimeo, DropBox, We Transfer or Hightale.  Please don’t shoot in 4K (720p or smaller fine).  Send your audition link to csbpalmbeach@gmail.com
