Casting For: “Runners Mind”

A Psychological Thriller

Written and directed by: Adrain Poneys

Plot summary: Psychological thriller / suspense, with a grounded and tense visual style. The focus is on atmosphere,sound design, and the character’s internal spiral rather than the creature itself.

Casting for the following roles:

The Runner : Early 30s to late , young looking male.

Audition Dates: [Mon. September 22nd], [Wed. September 24th], [Mon. September 29th]

Audition Time: 6:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.

Audition Location: 80 Ferry Blvd UNIT 210, Stratford, CT 06615

Shoot Dates: October 18th + 19th (Saturday/Sunday)

Sides are provided at the audition or can be downloaded. See the info below. If possible, please become familiar with your audition sides.

If cast, this is a non-union and unpaid film shoot. A digital copy of the film and DVD will be provided to you for your film reel and resume. Food and beverages will be provided.

The Runner:

Casting For: “Doctor Iniquitous, LICSW”

A dark comedy

Written and directed by: Jakob Yakubik

Plot summary: Old time and outdated supervillain Technomancer visits former infamous supervillain turned therapist Dr. Iniquitous for help on how to become a better villain. As the session goes on, the two don’t see eye-to-eye on one topic and argue about who’s right.

Casting for the following roles:

Doctor Iniquitous: (Lead – Therapist for Villains) (M/F – 25 – 55 years) Ethnicity: Doesn’t matter, Intelligent, Witty, Uptight, Edgy, tries to get straight to the point the best they can.

Technomancer: (Lead – Client) (Male – 40 – 75 years) Ethnicity: Doesn’t matter. One-Track Minded, Goofy, Reserved, Campy, wishes villainy can go back to the “simpler times.”

Audition Dates: [Mon. September 22nd], [Wed. September 24th], [Mon. September 29th]

How to record a virtual audition.

Please record your audition in front of a plain background.  Please start with a head to toe shot and slate your name, height, location and if you are union or non-union.  Then frame yourself in a medium shot (belt buckle to top of head) and record your dialogue.  Please have someone read the other character parts slightly off camera and look directly at them and not at the lens.  Please upload to either DropBox, We Transfer or Hightale.  Please don’t shoot in 4K.  720p would be fine.  Send your audition link to jim@gocsb.com
