Casting for “Jane Doe”

A Thriller / Drama

Written & Directed by: Ben DiPaolo

Plot Summary: A date rapist at a nightclub thinks he’s found his latest victim, but he turns out to be hers. Jane Doe has used many vices in order to feel something, now she’s going to try murder. 

Casting for the Following Roles:

Jane Doe: (Lead – Age 25-30 F) Ethnicity: Open. Flirtatious and uses her femininity to play into Mikey’s game until she has him right where she wants him. Cool and calm, on a path to emotional fulfilment.

Mikey: (Principal – Age 27-35 M) Ethnicity: Open. A charmer, uses his looks and wit to seduce women into trusting him before taking advantage. Has never felt the consequences of his actions.

Audition Dates: Tuesday, June 23rd – Thursday, June 25th – Tuesday, June 30th 

Audition Times: 6:30 p.m. – 10 p.m. 

Shoot Dates: Saturday, July 25th & Sunday, July 26th, 2026

(NOTE: Expect to be on set for 10-12 hours per day)

Sides are provided at the audition or can be downloaded from this page. If possible, please become familiar with your audition sides.

Audition Location: CSB Media Arts Center, 6 Executive Drive, Suite 109, Farmington, CT 06032

If cast, this is a non-union and unpaid film shoot. A digital copy of the film and/or DVD will be provided for your film reel and resume. Food & beverages will be provided.

Casting for “On Letting Go”

An Drama

Written & Directed by: Sam Crowley

Plot Summary: A troubled mother must decide if she will continue the cycle or break it by terminating her parental rights over her adolescent daughter.

Casting for the Following Roles:

Madelyn: (Lead – Age 20s-30s F) Ethnicity Open: An initially determined woman who succumbs to her inner demons losing her way via substance use. She is chaotic and struggles to see and tell the truth.

Rebecca: (Principal – Age 18-25 F, can pass as age 16-18) Ethnicity Open: An intelligent, fierce adolescent, determined to create her own path away from the life she was born into. She is loud when needed and does not shy away from the truth.

Maria: (Supporting – Age 60s F) Ethnicity Hispanic or Latina: A loving grandmother determined to protect and care for her granddaughter. She is compassionate toward all. She has a Spanish accent.

Police Officer: (Supporting – Age 20s-30s M) Ethnicity Open: Official, stoic, and firm. 

Audition Dates: Tuesday, June 23rd, Thursday June 25th, and Tuesday, June 30th

Audition Times: 6:30 p.m. – 10 p.m.
